Pastel Vibes

I managed to capture a lovely sunny day in Chelsea the other weekend whilst visiting a friend and I know what your thinking...another co-ord but I'm completely obsessed with them at the moment and I just couldn't help ordering this pastel blue knitted beauty from Missguided. It's also available in a couple more colourways, I'm in love with the grey set too!! The long sleeved crop and midi pencil skirt is perfect for the weather right now and I choose to team this together with a denim shacket from Rokit Vintage, this is one of my wardrobe staples and great to throw on for a more chilly day. Rokit is one of my favourite vintage shops in London and I can never resist some vintage treasure hunting around Brick Lane.
This outfit could also be easily styled up for an evening look....especially cute with some Missguided Feather Strappy Heeled Nude Sandals which seem to be everywhere right now, they have been on my wish list for what seems like forever (fingers crossed they are back in stock sooooon)
If your following me on Instagram you will have noticed my love for all things fluffy too and this amazing faux fur nude tote bag from New Look was a bargain at only £34.99. It also fits in so much more then the fluffy clutches which is ideal for me as I never seem to be able to pack light, it's also available in black too. The shoes are Topshop from a while back but I love the geek look, especially together with the lace trim socks.

Double Dogstooth

I snapped this outfit before going out for a night in Manchester so only just managed to capture the light now that the evenings are getting shorter...boo! With a little help from my brother's girlfriend Rianna who was on hand and at the ready with the camera. For those of you who don't know Rianna is an accessories designer and her website features some of the most amazing pieces all handcrafted in Manchester! If you haven't already checked her out online it's a must....I especially love the clutch bags. They are a digital print dream! (www.riannaphillips.com) Keep your eyes pealed as we are arranged a collaboration as we speak.
Now back to the outfit in hand...I'm coming across so many cute boutique stores on Instagram at the moment and always willing to give them a try, especially when I find such beauts like this dogstooth set from Someday by Laura. I love the fact that everything is handmade which is also great if you need more tailored sizes. It's also so well made and super comfy with the elasticated waistband to the shorts and oversized fit to the jacket, perfect for these autumnal days. There's also a matching top if you fancy going all out with the full set.
The shoes I found in Primark the other week and had to snap them up along with this slogan clutch from Miss Selfridge. The nude colour is perfect for so many outfits and was a matchmade in heaven with the shoes. The crop rib tee is one of my wardrobe essentials from Missguided, although these 'essentials' seem to be ever-growing...this can't be helped there's just to many fab things that keep appearing online! :)

Think Pink

So as the autumnal days are well underway now I'm finding it harder to decide what to wear as my wardrobe consists of so many pastel shades, although why do these need to be kept just for summer?! There was so many beautiful pastels seen on the catwalks at fashion week, this is a good enough reason for me to still roll them out, even if it is October so here goes....
This outfit was put together for a night at the Hallmark Hotel Manchester for Stockport Business Awards, supporting businesses of all sizes across Stockport. An event I go to annually supporting my Dad's business Millar Landscapes which gets nominated for a number of awards each year :)
I always find a lot of people tend to wear black for events like this then I walk in looking like a bag of pink and white marshmallows...anyway you can't go wrong with a heart embossed co-ord especially when it's pink. Missguided once again is bang on trend...the fabric is great too for this time of year as it's a little thicker, perfect for those slightly colder evenings. The shoes are from Public Desire and I've been eyeing them up for a while so thought it was time to make a purchase...I was not disappointed they are such beauts! I've worn this Boohoo bag quite a few times now but it's simple style and colour is so versatile and it also fits quite a lot in too which is always a bonus!

Time For Tea

Those who know me have to deal with my LOVE for afternoon tea, I always jump at any opportunity to try somewhere new so when it came to sampling out Manchester House I was very excited. Of course the outfit for the occasion had to be pink and girly and this knitted co-ord from Never Fully Dressed was perfect!! They have so many amazing pieces online, I was instantly drawn to all the lovely knits in such cute pastels shades...these actually went in the sale recently and then sold out but I managed to get my hands on one using Depop. I'm obsessed with this app, it's like an Aladdin's cave with so many fab clothes and accessories to be found. I also use it for selling my own clothes when its time for a wardrobe clearout...(find me @ktmillar
The 'Queen Delevingene' t-shirt is from Blackscore, I'm a massive fan of black and white graphic tees and Blackscore have such a great selection, I want them all...plus who doesn't love Cara Delevingne! The white canvas boots are from Topshop along with the bag and the necklace is from River Island which tied the outfit together perfectly.

London Fashion Weekend

It's always been on my wish list to attend London Fashion Week but the weekend event was the next best thing for me this season and it was such a fab day, I would recommend it for any fashion junkie! The catwalk trend show styled by The Outnet was really inspiring and gave an insight to some of the best pieces online. Trend categories included Jungle Fever, Fairy Tale Ending and my favourite which was Candy Crush that featured lots of pastel shades with a focus on beautiful structured silhouettes.
Apologies for the delay in posting this, but better late then never hey, so here's my outfit of the day...
Carrying on the monochrome trend from my last post I found another patterned beauty from Missguided, this time in the form of a gingham midi skirt. I love the textured fabric and high waisted detail which is so flattering. I paired this with a ribbed crop tee also from Missguided...in fact even the patent dolly shoes are Missguided, I think I have an obsession! The faux fur gilet from Topshop completed the outfit although when the sunshine came out to play it did get a little hot!! I took my lovely Grafea rucksack with me again which was great for carrying around all the essentials for the day.

Monochrome Madness

I'm a major fan of co-ords this season, they were everywhere over summer and I love that these trouser/crop combos have made an appearance to continue the craze over to winter. This aztec printed monochrome set was such a versatile buy and really quick and easy to style along with this boxy faux fur gilet from Topshop and cute patent dolly shoes from Missguided. I'm a little shoe crazy at the moment, especially online at Missguided, they have so many amazing pairs, especially the boots! I've actually just ordered some patent moc-croc cleated sole chelsea boots which will be great to style up for the winter...keep an eye out for a blog post to follow.
