Holiday Wishlist

So as my holiday is fast approaching (2 weeks today....eek) I thought I would put together a wishlist of all the gorgeous summer clothes I'm obsessing about at the moment! As you can see the majority is from Missguided but they're always spot on with the latest trends.

Floral, gingham and tie dye prints teamed with fresh whites and cute detailing including lace, tassels and pom poms, a match made in heaven...get me to the beach!!

Pastel Perfection

So the sun finally made an appearance in Manchester and after a few recent shopping trips updating my wardrobe for spring I thought I would share one of my more chilled outfits. When I say wardrobe update I always try to build on my existing pieces so that outfits can be restyled for the new season with a fresh look. This also saves buying a whole new wardrobe, although some would say I'm often close to this...what's a girl to do.

Topshop Joni Jeans have forever been a staple for me and I had to buy these spring beauts when I came across them last week, the perfect pastel pink shade! Teamed with a slogan tee from Primark which I sized up to add a more casual/oversized vibe. The vintage denim shacket I picked up from Beyond Retro in London, I've had it for years and it's one of my favourite cover-ups...I love the worn faded look and ripped details which just seems to get better with age.

These black lace up flats have been all over Instagram lately and a lot of high-street shops are doing a similar pair including New Look and Next. I spotted these in Primark and were so cheap I couldn't resist...they are mega comfy too and perfect for this kind of weather when you're not quite ready to get your toes out!

Casually Cool

Spring is quickly becoming my favourite season, I'm in love with all the tonal pastels you can't seem to escape and so much fun to mix and match together. As the weather in Manchester is all over the place at the moment I wanted to style together an outfit a little more transitional.

I think I have an obsession with trench coats and duster jackets...especially sleeveless! I keep adding more to my wishlist all of which are in lovely pastel shades...of course. They make the perfect cover-up for this time of year and will be easy to wear across to summer, especially for the cooler evenings. I love the lilac shade of this Topshop version, great for layering up and with the belt detail to bring in at the waist.

Mixing the tailored look of the duster along with the casual vibe of the wrap front joggers and slogan tee. Teaming with a light weight roll neck from Primark which I live in at the moment!

Another key trend for spring...all things metallic. ASOS and New Look have both nailed the boxy update to the backpack with a clean fresh feel. Also how amazing are these Zara shoes!!

Spring Has Sprung

This was an outfit I put together a while back for my birthday party but I thought as it's quite a spring look now seems the perfect time to share it with you it's still in stock and has actually gone in the sale for £14.99!! They also do a strappy version in the same print which I will also link below.

I'm always drawn to bodycon dresses for a night out as they are so easy to style and I love the high collar detail to this which brings the look up to date for this season. Floral prints are once again everywhere, especially in pastels and when I came across these pink platform shoes in Topshop I knew they would be a match made in heaven together, along with some cute white socks. Keeping the bag to a simple white clutch and adding this amazing candy pink fluffy bag charm from Amelia Jane London...I literally could buy these in every shade possible!!

The Necklace is a Topshop oldie I'm afraid but this could be easily recreated by layering up a few beaded necklaces. I'm abit obsessed with rings in general at the moment but especially midi rings so I stacked loads together which were Primark bargains!!

Mermaid Magic

Metallics and all things mermaid are a massive trend for SS15 and I love it!! It's just so fun and playful...of course something I was drawn to. The iridescent fabric also helps to sass up a co-ord like this ASOS beaut for the perfect night out attire.

I love the boxy look of the tee against the fitted high-waisted pencil skirt dressed up with these amazing chunky platforms...also ASOS. I teamed these together with yes more metallic adding these cute glitter socks from Topshop.

Is any outfit really complete without some form of fluff?! This feather covered bag from River Island was perfect...but I warn you it doesn't fit much in, although I really don't travel light. I love the gold chain detail which looked fab with this chunky statement necklace.

Spring Wishlist

As April has arrived and the clocks have gone forward spring is now well under way sooo...I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to show you all my spring top picks from some of my favourite stores. I'm always happy to see this time of year appear, not just for the nicer weather but to have the chance to wear all my favourite pastel shades.

Bomber jackets are everywhere this season and I cant get enough, especially the lightweight fabrics simplified in silks and suedes. Trench coats reworked with a lighter feel and sleeveless options giving a casual twist on the usual tailored style. I've also seen these belted up and worn as a dress which I love!!

The neutral tones mixed with candy contrasts are perfection giving a fresh feel for the new season. 60's mini skirts with fun florals adding a retro vibe, simple to style along with a basic crop or worn with a tucked in white blouse. I'm obsessed with all the quirky prints around right now, not forgetting the metallic accessories...a spring must!
