SS15 Blue Hues Event MCR

Thanks to the lovely people at Manchester Fashion Industry myself and Rianna were lucky enough to be given tickets to attend the SS15 Blue Hues event in Manchester. A fashion filled event with a dresscode of stylish blue hues including royal blue, baby blue, turquoise, sky blue and aqua.

A secret pre-party was held on the terrace of the Restaurant Bar & Grill, following along the blue carpet to flowing cocktails, blue themed canapes and a fashion show. This included Northern brands Manière De Voir, Esperar Boutique and Goodwin Smith. The models from Vanita Model Management looked beaut with hair by Esmie Style and make up by Cassie Lomas Academy. Next it was onto an after-party at the Milton Club which was packed with a sea of blue....with live entertainment from percussionist Kami C Percussion, 3 on point DJ's and not to forget the mesmerizing fire acts and dancers. Heading home with a gift bag filled with lovely goodies and discounts from the showcasing brands.

Naturally I was drawn to pastel tones for the event and knew straight away that this Missguided co-ord would be perfect, teamed with a white cape blazer and a statement necklace both from Miss Pap. I love these Public Desire lace-ups which added an edgy detail along with my trusty Boohoo clutch jazzed up with this amazing over-sized faux fur charm which was blue....of course.

Monster Moment

Yet another co-ord to add to my ever growing collection but I just couldn't resist when I came across this We Are Hairy People X ASOS set with it's textured fabric and cute monster print. We Are Hairy People have the most amazing selection of prints and most of them are pastel heaven too...even better!! I've put together some of my favourite pieces below which are currently online. Conversational prints have been massive for SS/15 giving a playful, novelty vibe and I love the cleaner look that many have against a fresh white base.

The pastel blue shade in the print was perfect alongside my bargain H&M clutch and I stuck to the blue theme teaming with a vintage shacket from Beyond Retro. I wear this all the time...I actually have it on right now! It really does go with everything and so easy to throw on. Vintage denim is just the best.
