Event: The Clothes Show

Last month I headed to The Clothes Show in  Birmingham, I haven't actually been for a few years but since the lovely Rianna had a stand in the ASOS section I though it would be the perfect excuse to pop along to say hello and show my support.

Although it had downsized since I last visited, there was still some great stands, including Never Fully Dressed, Amelia Jane London and NYX to name a few. The vintage section has always been one of my favourites and great for picking up a few one off bargains. The ASOS Marketplace area was perfect for picking up some individual pieces too; I just had to snap some of the digitally printed bags and fluffy accessories at Rianna Phillips stand..beaut as always!

Not forgetting the fashion theatre show which is always one of my fave parts of the day...showcasing some quirky, fun pieces.

Fountain Of Beauty...21 Years Event

Fountain of Beauty is a salon local to where I live in Cheadle Hulme. I've been going there for as long as I can remember and have loved trying out different looks throughout the years where they are always happy to advise and experiment with my ideas...especially with my nails which I love! If you follow me on Instagram or Twitter I'm sure you would have seen a few of my new claws popping up!

Fountain of Beauty recently turned 21 and I was invited to join in with the celebrations at Piccolino's in Bramhall taking along one of my besties Diana. Surprisingly for Manchester the sun was shining, perfect weather for an afternoon of cocktails, fizz and canapes on the lovely terrace. This was not only a celebration but also a fun raising event for The Christie Charity with raffles etc going on throughout the afternoon with prizes donated from all around the area too. I had my eye on an amazing hamper...which sadly didn't make it's way over to me...boo! On the plus side, we did all go home with a gift voucher towards a beauty treatment! :)

On to the outfit....I picked up this jersey dress recently from Primark and love the side split detail, so easy to style up with a bomber or denim jacket. I decided on a silk-look bomber from Missguided, really lightweight so perfect for a warmer day! I've worn these lace ups so much over the past few months, definitely one of my best SS15 purchases and the perfect high-street homage to the original Aquazurra's Belgravia beauts! Finishing the outfit with a studded drawstring bag and gold jewellery. I'm also obsessed with Quay Australia sunglasses, a brand that's growing fast and hard to avoid at the moment...this 'Invader' style is my fave!! I would happily own the entire collection!

LFW AW15

Following on from my previous post reviewing my favourite designers for AW15 I went along to LFW for day 5 with the lovely accessories designer Rianna Phillips...check out all her amazing pieces at www.riannaphillips.com I worn you now....you will want the entire collection, it's a digital print heaven!!

Here's what I styled together for the day, as we had lots planned I wanted something comfy (especially the footwear) but still eye-catching. As soon as I saw this set from Missguided I knew I had to own it, I love the dusty pink colour contrasting against the sport luxe vibe with the black piping down the sides. The lightweight duster jacket was layered up with a basic rib turtle neck and worn alongside the matching tapered trousers which I rolled up a little...all Missguided.

The backpack continued the sporty feel with the perforated detail, bags seem to be stripped back this season with fresh clean cut simple designs...perfection.

I love any kind of hat really but a fedora is my true love, even though I spend most of my time trying not to let it blow away. This beauty was a Primark bargain along with the cute patent shoes which I added black fishnet socks to give a more edgy look. Last of all the scarf, it was more of a last minute add on when I realised how cold it was but I can't get enough of anything fluffy so I think it finished the outfit off nicely. I'm already excited for LFW SS16...bring on the summer.

London Fashion Weekend

It's always been on my wish list to attend London Fashion Week but the weekend event was the next best thing for me this season and it was such a fab day, I would recommend it for any fashion junkie! The catwalk trend show styled by The Outnet was really inspiring and gave an insight to some of the best pieces online. Trend categories included Jungle Fever, Fairy Tale Ending and my favourite which was Candy Crush that featured lots of pastel shades with a focus on beautiful structured silhouettes.
Apologies for the delay in posting this, but better late then never hey, so here's my outfit of the day...
Carrying on the monochrome trend from my last post I found another patterned beauty from Missguided, this time in the form of a gingham midi skirt. I love the textured fabric and high waisted detail which is so flattering. I paired this with a ribbed crop tee also from Missguided...in fact even the patent dolly shoes are Missguided, I think I have an obsession! The faux fur gilet from Topshop completed the outfit although when the sunshine came out to play it did get a little hot!! I took my lovely Grafea rucksack with me again which was great for carrying around all the essentials for the day.
