Topshop X Artisan Event

Food and fashion is always a perfect combination so when the chance came along to get involved in a Topshop summer styling event I of course went along with fellow blogger/designer Rianna Phillips. It was held at Artisan in Spinningfields Manchester which I love anyway, it has such an industrial feel, rustic and retro and the food is always so good! There was a Spring/Summer trend talk featuring key pieces from the Topshop collection, it was great to see some of the new in pieces. Personal shoppers Jo and Sarah were on hand to give advice on how they would style the collection together which was great to get different views/options on what works well together...and of course the cocktails were flowing as always.

For the outfit I went for double denim teaming high-waisted jeans with a trucker style denim jacket with a sherling collar. Layering with a stripe rib body from Topshop, I love the high collar detail adding a little 70's retro feel to the look. Finishing the outfit with a chunky gold necklace and my fave Quay Australia sunglasses. The sandals are Missguided but from last summer but there's still loads of similar styles around, they matched perfectly with my bargain Primark rucksack...such a beaut!

Fountain Of Beauty...21 Years Event

Fountain of Beauty is a salon local to where I live in Cheadle Hulme. I've been going there for as long as I can remember and have loved trying out different looks throughout the years where they are always happy to advise and experiment with my ideas...especially with my nails which I love! If you follow me on Instagram or Twitter I'm sure you would have seen a few of my new claws popping up!

Fountain of Beauty recently turned 21 and I was invited to join in with the celebrations at Piccolino's in Bramhall taking along one of my besties Diana. Surprisingly for Manchester the sun was shining, perfect weather for an afternoon of cocktails, fizz and canapes on the lovely terrace. This was not only a celebration but also a fun raising event for The Christie Charity with raffles etc going on throughout the afternoon with prizes donated from all around the area too. I had my eye on an amazing hamper...which sadly didn't make it's way over to me...boo! On the plus side, we did all go home with a gift voucher towards a beauty treatment! :)

On to the outfit....I picked up this jersey dress recently from Primark and love the side split detail, so easy to style up with a bomber or denim jacket. I decided on a silk-look bomber from Missguided, really lightweight so perfect for a warmer day! I've worn these lace ups so much over the past few months, definitely one of my best SS15 purchases and the perfect high-street homage to the original Aquazurra's Belgravia beauts! Finishing the outfit with a studded drawstring bag and gold jewellery. I'm also obsessed with Quay Australia sunglasses, a brand that's growing fast and hard to avoid at the moment...this 'Invader' style is my fave!! I would happily own the entire collection!

Lucy Mecklenburgh X PLT

Wildfires & Dreams the beaut new SS15 collection by Lucy Mecklenburgh, exclusively for Pretty Little Thing has to be one of my fave collections from PLT. With an effortlessly cool LA vibe to the shoot, featuring summer essential crochet, suede and floral fabrics with flattering feminine shapes including a palette of candy colours and bold brights...it's definitely a 'me' range.

Forever loving a co-ord I was instantly drawn to this set, the colour is great for summer and the sleeveless duster jacket is perfect for lightweight layering over the warmer months, along with the matching crepe trousers. I've teamed the look with a basic Missguided ribbed  crop and white River Island chunky sandals for a fresh summer feel. The gold H&M clutch which was one of my most worn bags whist on holiday, I love the metallic look against the pink shade, working the crochet trend too. Such a bargain and now in the sale for £4!!

Here's a few of my top picks from the collection, which are your faves?!...Happy shopping!

PFW AW15 Couture: Ulyana Sergeenko

To be honest I didn't know much about Ulyana Sergeenko until I came across Rihanna's 'Bitch Better Have My Money' new music video featuring a hand embroidered wool coat from her SS15 couture collection. Since her AW15 collection hit Paris Fashion Week only a few days ago I thought I'd take a look and instantly fell in love. It's hard not to admire and appreciate haute couture, it's always so inspiring and I love the intricate detailing that can be seen, pieces are elaborate and exciting....but so they should be for that price tag.

Ulyana Sergeenko based her collection on Russia and the Saint Petersburg's Soviet-era apartments which were previously grand homes divided for use of the sailors and army recruits. Focusing on interiors from delicate embroidered dresses and lampshade-like hems. Fabrics also had an interior feel with velvets, and sofa like tufts to floral jacquards and silk which gave an almost boudoir appearance.

Pictures above are of my top picks from the collection...my favourites have to be the amazing accessories, fluffy pom pom shoes and cute fur bags, I can't get enough of the ice cream cone clutch with a pink fur scoop...pastel heaven!!
