Wishlist: Office Shoes SS16

Office never really seemed to be my go-to shop for shoes and quite honestly I've no idea why because I can’t keep away at the moment, the SS16 collection is amazing capturing all the key trends from mules to loafers and espadrilles, they even have some beaut sling-back Gucci dupes. My wishlist is ever growing as new pairs hit the store especially as there’s currently 20% off all ladies shoes both on-line and in-store…the perfect excuse to share with you all my favourite pairs with plenty of metallics and pastels to get you through the season in style. I'll take those boots in eveeeery colour please.

Happy shopping and don't forget to use the code 'OFFICE20'

Back to the forest for another of my Center Parcs outfits, getting plenty of wear from my faves putting together a few of the same pieces from my last look posted 'Shearing & Slogans' to save packing a ridiculous amount for one weekend. These included the shearing jacket, chunky boots and my gingham scarf. Scarves are my go-to accessory all year round, always perfect to tie a look together or to add a pop of colour or print.

As always I'm forever drawn to a stripe no matter what the season, they have to be my all-time wardrobe staple. Whether it’s as a simple tee tucked into a button up skirt or high-waisted jeans to a chuck on dress like this super comfy Monki beaut from ASOS, even layering up mixing stripes together for that quirky vibe…they’re just perfect whatever the day.

Fashion: Shearing & Slogans

I don't know about you but I'm well and truly ready for the summer now….these little short spells of sunshine we keep getting are just a tease! For a recent trip to Center Parcs where it’s so ‘outdoors’ based I thought I could at least pretend the weathers getting there but ooh no. It was freezing…so out come the layers again. Although this did give me the opportunity to roll out my fave sherling little number, the perfect Acne dupe with a bargain price tag, nice one Missguided.
If you had a little peak at my recent Topshop SS16 wishlist you would have seen this slogan jumper made an appearance…purchased with my birthday vouchers *thanks girlies* layering up with a roll neck and a monochrome check scarf. Forever loving a Joni jean these ripped beauts are my latest pair to the collection. There’s so much worn denim already making an appearance this season. My lasted post 'Frayed Denim SS16' has gathered together some of my top picks hitting the high-street, I’ve got my eye on some cute cut off denim dungaree from New Look…yes please.
This grey rucksack is from Primark and a total bargain, I’ve seen a few similar in Zara, they have a really cute tassel version too but nothing for this price…also these boots literally don’t leave my feet, mega comfy and give that relaxed vibe to an outfit without having to get out the converse…I’ve been told on a number of occasions to throw them away…but I really can’t. The worn looks in right?!

Fashion: Frayed Denim SS16

I've been on the hunt for that perfect frayed denim piece for a while now so had to share my favourite findings from the high-street. Trends emerging to once again bring back key 1980s and 1990s vintage inspired looks. Those classic denim shades with stone and acid washes against worn looks from rips and ladders to heavy fraying and cut off detailing. Style up true to the era with oversized tees, denim jackets and bombers, adding a grunge vibe teaming alongside chunky boots.

Fashion: Layer Love

I don't know about you but it gets to this time of the year and I'm frantically trying to get the last few wears out of my favourite winter wardrobe pieces before the warmer weather appears. In my case it's faux fur jackets, I'm also a massive fan of layering so whilst it's still a little chilly I'm using this as the perfect opportunity to team some of my fave items together. Don't get me wrong I love the summer...I just also have a huge love for faux fur!!

Most of this looks consists of my staple go-to pieces;
Skinny Jeans- No explanation needed, a necessity in every wardrobe…perfect for all seasons.
Roll Neck- A basic lightweight top, ideal for layering, I'm constantly wearing these under shirts and graphic tees.
Shirts- Vintage finds always seem to be the best; quirky prints/stripes worn open and layered up with a tee/ roll neck. I also love them buttoned up to the top for a smarter vibe, tucked in to high-waisted jeans/trousers…or even worn as a shirt dress. There are so many possibilities! I brought this one in at the waist with a cute vintage white belt.

Teamed alongside my trusty converse, statement faux fur jacket and of course I had to throw in a bow headband. The Olympus Pen camera bag is fast becoming my fave, it’s the perfect size and makes taking out my camera hassle free…dream!

Hope you’re all having a lovely Easter J

Wishlist: Topshop SS16

So as we're wishing away the winter days and hoping that Spring gets a move on, I thought I would put together some of my fave pieces from Topshop to bring you into the new season with style...because who doesn't want to look sassy for Spring?!

I also had some birthday vouchers from my besties to spend which I've been patiently saving in the hope of warmer weather...although I'm not sure that's possible in Manchester.

Topshop as always are forever hitting the latest trends, wide leg trousers and culottes, mini pleats in the super cute midi length skirts, stripes of all shapes and sizes plus hints of metallics...set to be huge again moving into the new season. Topshop also has some fab bomber jackets in store; I'm obsessed with that champagne shade!!

Now I just have to decide which to pick from....arrrgh. Help please?!

Happy Shopping!! :)

Fashion: Fringing Fever

So for London Fashion Weekend I decided to keep the outfit casual and let the cardigan do the talking...and what a beaut this is. There's so much fringing around at the moment and I love it...from jumpers to bags and even shoes. The high-street can't seem to get enough. Fine by me!!

Unfortunately this cardi went in the ASOS sale and swiftly sold out but I have linked below a few fringe themed options you can get your mitts on. The Forever 21 version is a bargain in the sale for only £9.99!!

I've kept the rest of the look quite simple, teaming together neutral shades with a basic roll neck and these super comfy drawstring trousers from Pretty Little Thing. The scarf tied in all the colours nicely and those Zara shoes!!...there's definitely a Stella McCartney vibe going on.

I also took my Olympus Pen camera case for it's first outing from the new range of Olympus fashion accessories...yes this bag is a camera case can you believe it?! It's so nice to finally own a super cute bag that's not bulky like most cases, yet still the perfect fit for all my essentials. Go and check out the rest of the collection, it's camera heaven!

Event: London Fashion Weekend SS16

Last weekend I popped down to London for the day with the lovely Rianna Phillips for Fashion Weekend, a 3 day event which gives a commercial overview of all the major trends seen at London Fashion Week. This year it was held at the Saatchi Gallery, such a perfect venue and a great place to get inspired for the upcoming season and do a little shopping, featuring plenty of pop up brands from ready-to-wear clothing, accessories and jewellery.

There are also 2 catwalks you can attend depending on your tickets...trend and designer. We went to the trend catwalk which revealed some of the latest collections/trends and styling tips, these are close to season trends showing SS16. Silver and gold ticket holders also get a limited edition tote bag inspired by the idea of 'Graphic Romance' filled with a selection of treats, this season designed by Preen's Juston Thornton and Thea Bregazzi.

There were 4 main trends shown for SS16;
//Americana: A bold bright and collegiate trend with a strong American vibe...stars, stripes and of course plenty of red, white and blue.

//Beautiful Botanicals: Florals of all kinds back again for SS16 from country garden to oversized prints, including mixing up floral for a head to toe playful feel.

//Pop Art Brights: A colour pop, colour block trend in primary brights with contrasting colours working alongside each other, a great day-to-night look.

//New Romance: Already hitting the high-street for SS16, such a cute ultra-feminine look filled with ruffles, lace and silk featuring a delicate pastel colour palette.

If this sounds like your cup of tea keep an eye out for next season tickets going on sale at the London Fashion Weekend website, they have a newsletter too so you can sign up to be the first to hear. I'll also be posting all the details from my London Fashion Weekend outfit right here very soon so stay tuned!!
